We present David Wendel´s “The American Car” series which he began in 2001. About this series, he says: “These portraits are dedicated to the classic fifties American automobile from the Big Three. American confidence, optimism and swagger have never been better expressed than in their flamboyant designs.” These cars were palettes for imaginative designers who were encouraged to free their imagination. David has captured this bold American spirit in close-up details of these cars, almost all in large format. These images bring a large smile to any car enthusiast.
