As you’ll see Batman’s conveyance started modestly, but then grew weaponry and other superpowers to evade, maneuver and generally confound the brilliantly evil machinations of some of the best villains every created.
It should be pointed out that the fully optioned James Bond Aston Martin DB5 made its debut in the 1964 release of Goldfinger with its ejector seat, machine guns, a smoke screen, and tire slashers. So the weapon platform possibilities were already established for the debut of George Barris’ Batmobile for the 1966 TV series.
