You could be forgiven for thinking that all Italian cars are red. This magnificent example of 1950’s Maserati craftsmanship is resplendent I the distinctive white livery and central blue stripe of Carroll Shelby. Gleaming in the sunshine in the Donington Park Paddock with its distinctive control tower in the background, the 300SI is taking a well earned break before being called into serious action. Although constructed in the early seventies, the pits have weathered into the circuit landscape over the years and provide a sympathetic backdrop to classic and historic racing machinery.
