CMC has crafted an authentic diecast replica of a 1956 300S in 1:18 scale
Special issue is race weathered and includes two figurines and a removed engine
Maserati replica is based on previous acclaimed CMC releases, including showcase releases of engine and rolling stock.
CMC first modeled the 1956 Maserati 300S in its CMC-105 release. And then went on to model the engine and the rolling chassis as separate issues. See video below.
The Maserati deserves the attention! Top drivers like Stirling Moss, Piero Taruffi, Harry Schell and Jean Behra took the wheel of the 300S, achieving great victories like the 1,000 km endurance race in 1956 at the Nürburgring. Further successes followed the race car around the world during the same year.
For this special issue, the Maserati is presented in a *Dirty Hero* version – i.e. race-weathered. Two figurines represent a driver and a mechanic, and a removed engine with all aggregates, pipes and cabling are supplementing this beautiful diorama. All appear on an impressive base plate.
Should you care to place it in your arrangement of pieces, a scaled trophy in tribute to the model as “model car of the year 2013” is included. The prominent German collector magazine, “MODELL Fahrzeug” bestowed the award.
