These are three historic planes. The Lockheed Vega “Winnie Mae” set records flying around the world in 1931. The PanAm China Clipper was the epitome of luxury and long distance travel in the late 1930s. The Douglas DC-3 was the workhorse of the skies serving every American airline in the 1930s as well as most European ones. They fly around an exact reproduction of a 1930 world globe, it shows the nations of the world by their names and borders of the era. The world was bigger then, and maybe more of an adventure.
