Is this the car you have chased after in your dreamworld? Precision modeler Ilario has just released a precision model that will start a riot in your collection!

If you collect classics, you have just landed on the moon…

It’s a few years after WWII. Having enjoyed Grand Prix success, Anthony Lago had in mind to build a car that would compete brilliantly in either racing or luxury. Hell yes, it would be expensive, something only the ritzy rich could afford.

The chassis Lago built delivered power in spades and the strength to carry coachwork of the master coachbuilders of the time. Coachbuilders were still in the business of delivering on the unbridled fantasies of the elite class. Want to win Le Mans in a T26 Grand Sport, no problem! Dazzle high society with flamboyant expressions of flair and luxury. Absolutely!

And no two cars were alike in the series of 36.  Each reflected its owner personality and/or purpose.

Ilario has chosen to model the Talbot-Lago T26 Grand Sport chassis #110110 – bodied by Saoutchik. Sculptural and ornamented, with swoops and swirls, it celebrates motion even at rest. That pastel blue paint is drawn from the bluest skies you’ve ever glimpsed beyond billowy clouds. Maybe it’s billowy clouds that inspire the broad cream-colored accent running down the side of the front and rear fenders.

Sold to the dapper and flamboyant New York furrier Louis Ritter, he and his wife drove it across the country, to rave reviews…

“Whether in New York City, in Midland, Texas, or in Hollywood, the Saoutchik caused a small riot wherever it was parked…” [Louise Barlow]

This Talbot-Lago T26 Grand Sport is a precision resin-cast model in 1:43 scale.  But wait… there’s more.  We also have received Ilario’s triumphant 1935 Mercedes-Benz 500K Tourenwagen.

The Tourenwagen version Ilario has modeled is a tourer with two doors and four spacious seats.  Every version of the 500K exudes an elegance that sends car guys into rapture!  Click on 1935 Mercedes-Benz 500K Tourenwagen to consider purchase.
