1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz by Ken Eberts
The 1960 Cadillac is the penultimate in any color. In blue against a snow-enshrouded white country homestead, it is achingly beautiful. Must be Christmas, I see gifts in backseat, so this Eldorado is visiting like Santa’s reindeer drawn chariot. The convertible top makes the scene all the cheerier.
A friend of Eberts, Dave Holls was the designer of the ’60 Cadillac. From the flamboyant fins of the ’59 Caddy, he evolved a graceful, geometric fin design.
Ken Eberts recreates the iconic symbol of the fin era and the apogee of Cadillac grandeur. He places the car in a quiet serene setting where you only see majesty, you can’t hear it.
